Ugh

Humility is a B*TCH...I know this because I make mistakes on a daily basis.  While mistakes in and of themselves are a part of life, failure to notice them should not be.  There is nothing worse than portraying oneself as confident and competent only to realize at a later point in time you were wrong...that, my friends, is the epitome of humiliation.


So don't ask me why, but I was thinking about the "Simple is Hard" Post I authored a few weeks ago and realized that I misused the term "newel post."  Apparently, a newel post is defined as "a post supporting one end of a handrail at the top or bottom of a flight of stairs."  The intermediate supporting posts are referred to as "balusters."

Once again...I stand humbled.
